Dairokuten Mao (第六天魔王), literally "Demon King of the Sixth Heaven," is a Japanese term for Mara, a Buddhist deity who embodies Temptation and hinders Enlightenment.
It's famously associated with Oda Nobunaga, a powerful 16th century Japanese daimyo, who adopted the title as a symbol of his ambition and defiance against traditional Buddhist institutions.
